two doors

two doors, side by side, so very different.

though the building in which i work is on the waterfront, my office faces the opposite side. still, not a bad view.

like i do, i was preparing my weekend breakfast of a peanut butter and jelly toast sandwich. on my way to deliver the bread to the toaster, i realized it had been swapped for an eared, eyed and tailed pink replacement. i have no issue with an animal toaster. except that its piggy slots are too short for my wide bread.

after a few weeks of snow, ice and slush, it has mostly gone away. then it began again.

my nephews and niece were up from san diego and we went over to the new fire station being built. charlie got to take the wheel.

today was friday. a very long friday.
i was at work for about 13 hours and my hands hurt. i have tendonitis. too much work on the computer.
at home, i have a paraffin bath into which i dip my hands for temporary relief. it feels really good.
